I must have seen this movie several times BEFORE my obsession with Keanu. It's educational, interesting, fun, and entertaining. Especially for the under 10 year olds, but good laughs for all ages. Keanu, in case you didn't know, plays Ted "Theodore" Logan, and Alex Winter plays Bill S. Preston Esquire;
they are WYLD STALLYNS! And they are pathetic musicians and failing school if they don't get an A on their next history presentation. Ted's father treatens to send him to Miltary school in Alaska and they band will be no more.
Before starting their studying, they drop by the Circle K and are approached by Rufus - a dude from the future who has arrived in a time-travelling phone booth. Apparently the future depends on their passing the assignment. So they use the phone booth to bring back several important historical figures for their assignment.
This is the stereotype Keanu has taken a while to shake off. And probably has not successfully done yet. (This is why - for those who are new - everyone laughed during The Matrix when he said "Whoa."
Oh, I feel I have to make a *VERY EIGHTIES WARNING*.
Keanu Reeves....Ted "Theodore" Logan
Alex Winter....Bill S. Preston
George Carlin....Rufus
Tony Camilleri....Napoleon
Dan Shor....Billy the Kid
Tony Steedman....Socrates
Rod Loomis....Freud
Al Leong....Genghis Khan
Jane Wiedlin....Joan of Arc
Robert V. Barron....Abraham Lincoln
Clifford David....Beethoven
Hal Landon Jr.....Captain Logan
Bernie Casey....Mr. Ryan
Amy Stock-Poynton....Missy/Mom
J. Patrick McNamara....Mr. Preston

I warned you that this was a very eighties-type of movie. Well, the soundtrack is the same. So that's good or bad depending on your preference. It's fun to be able to watch and sing along, I can tell you! This is also one of the best Keanu movie soundtracks I own.
Tracks include:
SIDE A
1. "Play With Me" - Extreme
2. "The Boys and Girls Are Doing It" - Vital Signs
3. "Not So Far Away" - Glen Burtnick
4. "Dancing With A Gypsy" - Tora Tora
5. "Father Time" - Shark Island
SIDE B
6. "I Can't Break Away" - Big Pig
7. "Dangerous" - Shark Island
8. "Walk Away" - Bricklin
9. "In Time" - Robbie Robb
10. "Two Heads Are Better Than One" - Power Tool
"In Time" by Robbie Robb I believe is the music Ted is so impressed with in the future. It's the air guitar slashing salute song...you know...or you'll see when you watch the movie!
Keanu Quotes:
"Bill--Strange things are afoot at the circle K..."
"So-crates: true wisdom is knowing that you know nothing. That's us dude!"
Others:
"Excellent!" [Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves as Bill and Ted]

-Many have immitated the Bill & Ted type characters: Beavis and Butthead, Wayne and Garth, etc. You'll note only the really good immitators go with one character with light coloured hair, and the other with dark coloured hair. Not that we have any particular preferance, but the one with the dark coloured hair tends to be a bit cooler than the other.
-All those people they bring back are meantioned all the time in every day conversation and so can be directly connected with Keanu. (I should've used some of the video with my presentation on Sigmund Freud a few years ago. DARN IT!)
-It's Bill & Ted and being smart people you know you can do just as well, if not better than them!
-No paradox problems! It'll either really irritate you or will just be a good thing...yeah.
